Let's RAD it!

In recent years, children look at learning as an obstacle they must overcome. They think of it as a temporary phase in their life which only resides within the school walls and hence, their goal is to get out of school as soon as possible. We plan to change that; our aim is to reinforce their love for learning and make them realise that learning is in fact an experience that doesn’t necessarily restrict to the school grounds.

Our app will include a personalised page for the learners to independently research on topics they have an interest in, e-books and other material for them to refer to when researching, visual reality and holograms for them to seemingly get a hands-on experience regarding their topic of interest, and even a collaborative page where they get to discuss with other learners from all around the world.

The reason we decided to use a three dimensional platform for learning is because not only is it a step toward a new dimension of learning, but children have already familiarized themselves with anything and everything based on a two dimensional platform. Thus, it won't spark much of a thrill in them anymore. Instead, we hope to gain their attention by using material that is still considered exciting to them.

We hope our project will be a method to sustain learning as a passion and not as a requisite.
