Walk-in Wardrobe

Clothing co-op, share if you care! #Walk-inWardrobe #GsusJam

We want to set up the Walk-in Wardrobe to combine clothing and sustainability; furthermore our organisation is a prototype of an alternative vision to individualism, favouring sharing and community over private ownership. We aim to create a network of like-minded people and get them sharing clothes and rethinking the way they view personal possessions.
We offer a unique opportunity for members to access free clothing on a weekly basis, thus giving them the option of wearing new clothes without the financial burden of buying them and more importantly reducing our impact on the planets finite resources. Walk-in wardrobe offers an ethical solution for people to rejuvenate their wardrobe without compromising their ethics.
We will start with a small selection of jumpers hopefully funded through the green fund and by donation. We will hold weekly events where members can check out jumpers for 7 days at a time. As the society grows we aim to branch out to more items of clothing and other accessories. We will also provide workshops and skill shares focusing on upcycling clothes and other aspects of sustainable consumption.
