You have 48 hours to save the World.

on Wed, 10/06/2010 - 21:17

Sounds like an impossible challenge? Then step up to work alongside other creative, passionate people in an energetic, worldwide, face-to-face event. Whatever your skills, whatever your interest, you will find a role.

Last March, around 2000 service designers in 59 cities on 6 continents had a great time creating 203 heroic ideas in one weekend. This October, the Global Sustainability Jam will build on that success, setting a common challenge based around sustainability for people meeting at local sites all over the world.

Everyone is welcome - service designers, object designers, sustainability experts, professors, business people, teachers, hackers, makers, artists, students, kids, mums and grandpas - you will form teams and work together for 48 hours to create brand-new real-world designs, projects, objects or ideas which can make that little difference.

Or perhaps a big difference - it's up to you.

Through the weekend, you'll be linked to other jammers at other sites all over the globe, working in different ways on different answers to the same challenge, sharing problems, advice, and insights. And on Sunday at 5pm, you will publish your results to the world.

Want to learn more? Want to join us? Want to organise a Jam in your community? Want to help run the global Jam?  Sign up here, and follow us on Twitter and Facebook.
